A new TV comedy series ala “The Incredibles” is coming to the British tv channel ITV. Hopefully it will land on BBC America at some point. In the mean time check out the trailer below. It has some strong language and innuendo, so be warned:

Jesus All About Life Racing

The Aussies are sport mad, and whilst we were flicking through the sports channels here in our hotel room, we came across Ute racing. A Ute or Utility Vehicle is a cross between a saloon car and a truck.

One of the teams caught my eye; It is called “Jesus, All About Life Racing” team. As a Christian, I think this is a great thing to see!

Mythbusters comes to Merced

The popular Discovery channel show Mythbusters comes to Merced to use Lake Yosemite as a location to try and jump an island ala James Bond. They were also at Castle airforce base a few weeks ago filming another story

Cool! First Indiana Jones is filming in the vicinity and now my favorite Discovery channel show!

Jackson could still direct “The Hobbit”

According to reports there is still a chance Peter Jackson could direct the proposed prequel to the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

I am of the opinion that not having him direct this would be a very bad idea, along the lines of having Michael Gambdon play Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies…

Comcast Where is TBS HD?

I only occasionally watch TBS. Now that it is the baseball playoffs, most of the games seem to be on TBS. I am being forced to watch in standard definition on my plasma. Not fun – I am too used to HD Baseball now. Comcast has rolled out TBS HD in some markets, but what about here in California.

I called Comcast, and the answer was: “TBS does not do HD yet”.

Hmmm, I think that’s a little mistruth…

And recently, it has beben Feist’s “1 2 3 4″. Probrably best known for being used in the new Apple iPod Nano advertisements. Indeed this is where I first heard it.

One of the interesting things single is the music video is a choreographed “one take” affair -which in the modern day of video editing is a rare art.

Indeed here you can find the “Making of Video”, I recommend you watch the real video first (On MTV or youtube) to see what the finished product looks like…

On ESPN’s Sports Center (prescribed bedtime viewing in the Geeky Brit’s household), my lovely wife and I just saw the following evideo from this past Sunday’s Kansas City game. It was in the NFL top 5 plays of the week….
